Business & Tourism Day

Friday, December 4th turned out to be a wonderful day for Class 31 and their Business & Tourism Day. Not only did the weather cooperate, but the class received great exposure to the the economic drivers of both small business and tourism. The Beach Boardwalk Seaside Company hosted the day and provided a wonderful behind-the-scenes tour of their facilities.

The class divided up and went on field trips to Cruzio, NextSpace, Yellow Bus Advertising, and Assembly. Maggie Ivy, CEO of the Santa Cruz County Conference and Visitors Council shared the latest on tourism throughout the county. One of the highlights of the day came when Annie Pautsch gave her personal story on starting a business from scratch. Her Brew Cruz enterprise is successful and a lot of fun. Another great learning experience in Santa Cruz County!
