Local Government Day
Class members learned about how local city and county government agencies are structured, how they align with other local, state and federal jurisdictions, and how operations are funded. Current challenges and future issues such as funding, homelessness, water resources, fire threat, and advocacy were a common thread. The looming issues of fire threat and water availability will be discussed by the former Secretary of the California Natural Resources Agency.
