"When the burdens of the presidency seem unusually heavy, I always remind myself it could be worse. I could be a mayor." ~President Lyndon Johnson
Local government work is hard but absolutely critical to the life of a community. Leadership Santa Cruz County's Class 38 delved deep into all aspects of our local government's role and impact on our community -- from budgets, to housing, to libraries and parks. We learned not only how things work, but, just as importantly, how to advocate and engage publicly and privately to shape critical decisions in our community.
Special thanks to our day sponsor Bay Federal Credit Union, Lunch sponsors Bruno's Bar and Grill and the Scotts Valley Chamber, breakfast sponsor Cyber Ascend Technologies.
