Leadership Santa Cruz County Welcomes Ryan Coonerty as New Executive Director

Santa Cruz County, CA - Leadership Santa Cruz County (LSCC) is excited to announce Ryan Coonerty as its new Executive Director. Coonerty brings a wealth of experience and a passion for leadership to LSCC, positioning the organization for growth and impact in the community.

Coonerty is a former two-time Mayor and County Supervisor of Santa Cruz County as well as an entrepreneur, author, and educator. "Santa Cruz County will thrive or struggle in the coming decades depending on the quality of our leaders," Coonerty said. "I look forward to building on a strong program by providing people the skills, knowledge and connections they need to effectively lead. Leadership Santa Cruz County helped shape my knowledge of our community decades ago, I can't wait to work with the next generation of leaders."

As Executive Director, Coonerty will be responsible for strategic planning, program development, fundraising, and community engagement. He will work closely with the board of directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to further LSCC's mission and expand its reach and impact.

Coonerty takes the reins from Interim Executive Director Dave Vincent. "I am very excited that Ryan has been selected as the incoming Executive Director for Leadership Santa Cruz County. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of the inner workings of our community, he has well-established relationships with leaders throughout the county, and a clear vision for what LSCC can become in the years ahead," Vincent said.

Board Chair Shaz Roth said, “On behalf of the board, we are thrilled to welcome Ryan. We are confident that under his guidance, LSCC will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."
